KvK Workshop: Cash Flow & Cash Flow Management
Chamber EventsDate:
Time: -
Location: Auditorium Aruba Chamber

Profit is important, but cash keeps a business alive.
An income statement may show a positive result, but it is cash flow that pays the bills: payroll, suppliers, taxes, bank obligations, rent, utilities, and other day-to-day expenses.
Many businesses advisory sources identify poor cash flow management as one of the leading causes of financial distress among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). For that reason, understanding and managing cash flow is not only an accounting matter—it is an essential business skill for every entrepreneur and manager.
During this practical workshop, participants will learn how to prepare and interpret a comprehensive cash flow statement using the indirect method, with the income statement and balance sheet as the foundation.
What you will learn
- The difference between profit and cash flow, and why it matters.
- How the cash flow statement is linked to the income statement and the balance sheet.
- How to interpret operating, investing, and financing cash flows.
- The practical use of working capital, free cash flow, and the cash conversion cycle.
- How liquidity ratios and cash flow indicators help monitor financial stability.
- How to calculate the minimum cash reserve needed to support smoother operations and reduce financial risk.
- Practical techniques for planning, controlling, and improving cash flow in your day-to-day business.
